Most firms are more concerned with how many billable hours they can make an engagement last then they are how successful they were at securing the client. As a result, they have non-technical sales people “scope the job” in an effort to “upsell” in an attempt to persuade the customer to purchase additional services and solutions directly or from an “exclusive partner” security vendor.

For example: A large consulting firm will come in and based on a salespersons recommendation alone, tell you that you need to purchase X hours of testing and brand X security solution for X number of dollars.

The problem with this approach is that sales have no idea what kind of testing the client actually needs and since they are not the ones actually preforming the work are completely clueless about how long an engagement should take or cost.

Their main goal is to make sure that they have every cent of your security budget allocated to them and their partners. A sales person “scoping” the engagement is a huge red flag.

The penetration testers scope the engagements. This way you are purchasing exactly what you need.

We do not bill by the hour, all engagements once the engagement scoped are a flat fee. This insures that if there are technical difficulties on your end or unexpected delays, whatever happens, we complete the job. You will never hear, “I am sorry but you are out of consulting hours” you will need to purchase more time to be secure.

As a result, we have one of the fastest turnaround times in the industry. You don’t have to worry about some tester dragging his/her feet as your compliance deadlines fly by because the boss says they still have billable hours to used.

We do not upsell nor do we have “exclusive partnerships” with security product vendors. If you need a product or solution we will present you with a number of different solutions, then help you decide what works best for you. This means we have only one relationship we care about and that is our relationship with you, the client.
